Health Occupations Center

Courses at the Health Occupations Center require at least a high school level of reading comprehension in English. While there may be translation and academic/English language support available, all of the licensure/certification exams are only offered in English. Being multilingual in healthcare is advantageous, but employers emphasize the need for a working level of English fluency and literacy. If you completed high school in the United States, you most likely have the skills necessary to be successful in a Health Occupations Center program. If you are unsure, please use the Self-Guided Assessment to check for yourself. The assessment should not take more than 25-30 minutes and the results are not recorded.
