Step 1:  Orientation

     At the orientation, you will receive all information and registration requirements for the class you wish to enroll in.  Any student wishing to register for any of the classes above must first attend an orientation.  No need to sign-up.  No cost.  (Sorry, no children.)

Step 2:  HOC Entry Screening Test

     While attending the orientation, you will sign up for an Entry Screening Test.  This is a basic test that covers 7th grade English and Math.  You will need to pass this test with a minimum score of 70% to be eligible for registration.  The test will be offered the week of November 17, 2014.   You will then be notified by mail of your score.  The top scores will be given a registration appointment time.

 ***Note: if you have already attended an orientation for the class you are interested in and have already taken and received a passing score on the Entry Screening Test within the past year, and want to use that score to try to get into a Spring class, please call the office.  We will use your previous score if you have met the requirements.

Step 3:  Registration

Come to HOC at your appointed registration time.  

Registration will be the week of December 8, 2014.    



     If you wish to enroll in any of the classes below, no orientation is required. 

  • IV Therapy
  • Math Review for Healthcare Worker
  • English Review for Healthcare Worker
  • CEU's for CNA's 
  • Understanding Cardiac Arrhythmias
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • Medical Billing and Coding: 
    • Prerequisite is successful completion of Medical Terminology.  
    • Registration must be done at the HOC office.
Registration begins December 2, 2014, at 8:00 am either online or at the HOC office.

10/10/2014 - First Mandatory Orientation (If you were unable to attend this orientation there will be a second orientation on January 16, 2015)

10/10/2014 - Teas Review Class registration begins

11/10/2014 - 2/11/2014 - TEAS Review Class

1/16/2015 -  2nd Mandatory Orientation
 (Students only need to attend if you were unable to attend the first orientation on October 10, 2014)

1/20/2015 - TEAS testing registration open

1/30/2015 - Class 63 applications due by 12:00 noon

2/20/2015 - Last day to turn in TEAS scores from other centers

2/23/2015 - 2/26/2015 - TEAS testing

2/27/2015 - Release TEAS scores

3/17/2015 - 5/28/2015 - Anatomy and Physiology class

5/1/2015 - All supplemental documents due
(except our Anatomy & Physiology students)

6/9/2015 - All preliminary paperwork to be turned in by welcome meeting

6/9/2015 - 6/10/2015 - Class 63 welcome meeting

7/10/2015 -  Physical/drug screening/background check must be turned in by noon

7/10/2015 - First payment due by 12:00 noon

Typing Test:

HOC offers typing tests from 4:30 - 5:30 pm

 on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month.
