Healthcare offers a wide variety of rewarding careers that are in demand. For over 70 years, the Health Occupations Center has trained for careers in healthcare and HOC graduates are highly regarded in the local medical community with more than 90 community partnerships for clinical rotations, internships, and externships including all major hospital organizations in San Diego County.  Our short-term training programs offer state and/or national-level certification or licensure that lead directly to employment opportunities.   We also offer advancement and continuing education courses for healthcare professionals.

Programs and courses are offered at minimal cost because we are part of Grossmont Adult Education, a public adult education center with costs for facilities, teachers, and staff paid for by CA Adult Education Program (CAEP) funding. Explore the program and course offerings below for details including fees, schedules, and registration requirements.
