Learn to communicate effectively in the workplace as you prepare for a career in healthcare.  Understanding the meaning of interchangeable words and medical terms used in different contexts in medical services and procedures makes the language of medicine easy to master for use in the office for medical transcription, billing, and coding.  Class provides instruction in basic medical terminology with an emphasis on body systems.  This class is a prerequisite for Medical Billing and Coding.  Prerequisite:  a passing score on the HOC English Assessment test.  No HS Diploma/GED required for this class.
